Default Image Sharping settings in Photoshop C5

What general settings do you use to sharpen your images in Photoshop C5?
What I have noticed on this Forum is a lot of the images seem to be oversharpened. The human eye doesn't see images that sharp.
What I'm asking is a general guide line for Image sharping settings .
    Thanks Bill

Thank you for the links. Unsharp mask and sharping an image are the most important post processing corrections done to an image . It's also in my opinion the most understood.

    Bill,

People's monitors have different MTF response, so what may appear perfectly sharp on one monitor, may appear over sharpened on another and soft on a third monitor.

Also see what people do in the monthly raw processing exercises.

Yes, Rodger the monitor is a huge factor . I'll recheck the images on my IMac instead of my Dell . Thanks Bill
