    This is an impressive image!! The bird on the left is amazing is any aspect. Getting the whole body of the bird on the right would have made this a winner image in any competition IMHO. Looks like the 300mm was the right tool for the job.

    Very dynamic and eagles are in excellent positions to each other. Really shows eagles to be big, tough and strong birds. It is an amazing incoming pose.

    Fantastic image for so many reasons Chas. For me, top of the list is the unique black on white, only punctuated by the brilliant orange of the beaks and talons. Sweet detail and exposure in both whites and blacks - not sure how you pull that off but I suspect the reflections off the ice and snow helped with the underparts. If taken with the 300 you would have not had the great detail in the attacking bird so I like this crop. Impressive to me.
