Taken a couple weeks ago on a Fort Myers, FL beach at 8 a.m. I liked the full wing expanse and the silvery sheen the light gave them. Head angle perhaps not the best. Am unsure about all the bands of various colors in the BG and whether this detracts and would appreciate opinions.
About 30% crop. Sharpening, NR, and a little bit of darkening of some lighter blobs in upper strip of background.
Thanks so much for looking. All comments and critiques hugely welcome and appreciated.

    Melissa:

Because of your very low shooting angle, the bg bands are soft enough that they don't bother me.
The wing display is very nice. Not a perfect HA, but OK, would be better with some eye contact.

A little tight on the sides for my taste, not much more needed.

If it were mine, I would try a version with a small amount cropped off the top.

To my eye there is a slight green cast to the entire image. Might be worth tinkering with a bit.

    Cheers

Thanks for the feedback, Randy. Here's another go, with a tad more on the sides, and some cropped off the top.

Very nice Melissa. Like the re-post. Great wing spread, nice and sharp and with all the leafless trees up here loving the green color. Great job.

    Melissa:

I think the slightly more pano crop plays up the width of his out stretched wings, works for me.

I prefer the repost, but I would fill-in the dark area top-left. Nice wingspread and colours. Good details in the feathers. I wouldn't mind a bit less above and a bit more below. There is a very faint streak almost touching the head in both versions...worth cleaning that up.

I thought the first one was fine and the repost just good.

Excellent image! Lovely light, colours, sharp with good detail. Prefer the repost and would also like to see some more room at the bottom for the virtual legs.
