    Default U2 slept here

Hello all. Sorry I haven't had much time lately to post here but it's not by choice.

Last weekend I spent the night at the Harmony Motel in Twenty-nine Palms, in the southern California desert. The Irish band U2 spent some time here while they were writing the songs for the album "The Joshua Tree", which was released 25 years ago today. The motel, which has eight rooms, was sold out for this weekend.

Topaz Adjust used, including an HDR preset and some other tweaks to get a "soft grunge" look. Topaz Lens Effects, using a creative blur preset, provided the focus blur effect. The desert sun provided the lens flare.

Surreal, Kerry! Love the color pop and the angle of the sun. Perspective and added effects are very interesting... as though looking through a "fun" induced haze. The signs rock!

Excellent, Kerry. I too like the perspective. Very nice effects and colors really pop.

    Kerry,

Greetings. Great color & lens effect. Might tone down the flare in the sky a bit. Like the color a lot.

    Cheers,

    -Michael-

Kerry, I love this! wild and fun! The place is a hoot and you did a great job capturing that and processing that feeling.

Nicely done, Kerry, like the color and focus blur effect. It looks as though the Harmony Hotel has a bit of free spirit, hippy flavor to it, which you convey very well!
