    took this the other day,not the best of lighting,but this is the northwest of England,its stood on this old piece of wood,just below its nest,which they have nearly finished.cannon 7D,400mm cannon prime lens,tripod,cropped,sharpened,bit of sat,f5.6,1/120 sec,iso 500,remote shutter release.comments good or bad,thanks.

    Chris:

    I like the perch, shooting angle,colors.

    THe birds head is turned away a bit, and there is a lot of noise throughout the image. A little surprising at this ISO. Did you need to bring it up a lot in post?

    I would def. do some NR on it.

    Nice bird, Chris! I agree, the bg noise is very evident. The bird doesn't look too noisy. Smoothing the bg will be huge improvement.

    Striking bird, great composition. It is one of my favorite birds from Europe.

    thanks everybody for your comments,I agree Randy,there is a lot noise,were Ihave saved this file on my computer it is not as noisey,and a little bit sharper,I will have to give it some Topaz.I did not bring it up much,thanks again.

    Lovely looking bird. I would look at at 10x8 vertical to lose the dark area on right and keep bird in upper left third. I like the nice low angle.
