Hello everyone. Here is another shot from the last owl I posted. This was taken right after the sun had gone down. I dropped low to get a clean background, and in doing so I sacrafised the feet. I left room at the bottom for virtual feet. Almost FF cropped some from the left.
C&C welcomed and encouraged.

It is not easy to get low enough to be looking up at a burrowing owl!
You did well to get a sharp image at 1/25sec. I would have traded a little aperture for a bit more SS here, but you made it work.
I wish the feet were showing too, but you would have lost the cool perspective on this guy if you were high enough to show the feet in this case, so I think you made the right compromise.
I love the angle, soft light and IQ that you got out of this one Robert. But I have to say I would like to see the feet. That's what keeps us going back, right? Pursuit of the quintessential shot that has it all!
Lovely bg and I really like the nice low shooting angle. Full side pose and direct stare is also very nice. As you have noted it is only the question about the feet. Very well done.
The details and sharpness are amazing and it is well positioned in the frame, Robert.
The low angle and the find sand covering the feet puts it over the top in my book.
Hi Robert, excellent low angle of capture here, and just love the direct eye contact from the owl. The light certainly does look nice and soft, and I like the complimentary colour of the BG. Comp wise, I would try a horizontal version, as I find this a bit too squarish - just a personal thing.
