Well, I downloaded Alan Murphy's ebook last night and shot a slew of these this morning! Thanks Alan! This is a setup (duh) nearly full frame. I cloned a tiny bit in upper left corner, burned a few if the reds and desated the reds also. C&C welcome.

The birds and the perch are really nice, but the BG, while very colorful, competes with the birds for attention.
I think toning down the reds in the BG would look nice.

Thanks for the critique, Dan. I have already toned the reds way down here! I think that I need a different bg! Still trying to get the right setup. Maybe I will use an artificial bg?

Wow, Dan, you must be a very quick learner - book last night and a nice image this morning.
Great job getting two birds sharp with good poses and head angles.
The perch is very nice too. As nice as the bg is, I feel that this setup would look better against a simpler bg.
How did you attract them to your perch?
    Looking forward to more.

EDIT: Guess I was typing as Dan posted.

Thanks, Sidharth. I have plans for that bg! I placed the perch a couple feet to the right of a thistle feeder.
