    Default that's a cold rock pied wagtail

    took this last month,it was frosty but nice light,you can see the frost on the birds tail.cannon7D,400mm cannon prime lens,slight crop,tripod,iso650,f5/6,1/1250 sec,comments good or bad thanks.

    A great image. Lovely light. Nice BG. Great with the stone bird stands on. Maybe cut a little on the bottom

    It's a wonderful image of a beautiful little bird. Looks as if you masked the bird to sharpen, and have a bit of a sharp boundary top of the head and back. Might want to feather it to soften that edge just a bit. Well taken, and I love the feet.

    thanks everybody for comments,Ron,I have not used amask,I lay in wait for this bird,and when it came to feed,came very close,and the light was bang on.thanks again.

    Interesting... I look again this morning and don't see the harsh boundary. Must have just been my tired old eyes. Still a lovely image.
