This guy walked up to our rental car and was standing on the passenger side
while the rain was coming down ever so slightly.
It was during our last afternoon just before going to the airport.
The suitcases were already in the car but we were still shooting shorebirds.
Did he/she want a lift to Canada?
Full frame, except I had to straighten it.
    Hand held.
    Thanks for looking.

    Karl:

Maybe he wanted to save the long flight back to Canada under his own power, and hitch a ride with you ! I saw my first GBH return to the local rookery in Mich. two weeks ago, so they are heading north.

Very soft light with nice exposure yielded nice details.

Which his head wasn't tucked in quite so much, esp. from this angle, as it doesn't show his most elegant pose!

    Cheers

Wonderful shot!! Excellent feather detail, I really like the rain, composed very well, and very nice background.
    Well done.

Hi Karl, your central placement of the heron works well, and just love the softer light from the rainy conditions. Good sharp detail although he's sopping wet, and I do like the BG.
