    Just a crop and slight crop. Couldn't get whole body in the frame. What do you think of the crop, more or less?

    D300s,70-300 f4/5,@300mm, ISO 200, F 7.1, 1/640 s, Hand Held

    Nice colours. Shooting angle is not great and head looks soft. 1/640 is not fast enough to capture this action. Composition doens't work for me either.

    Lovely bird but this particular crop doesn't work for me b/c it puts the duck's head in the middle of the frame. I agree that the bird's head in spots is soft, esp the beak. Now sure how I would crop this one. Maybe someone else can chime in.

    Comp-wise I'd crop off half the left and half the top. I agree the head looks soft but you should be able to freeze a feeding duck at 1/640s, perhaps not 100% of the time, but still should be able to...
