    Default Weekly Theme: Puffin Litho

I used Dave's ( Barnegat Paint By Numbers ) method to get just the details I wanted but instead of using Gradient Tool, I used a Paint Brush with the opacity and flow at 40%.
I painted this mage to get just the right amount of B & W.
    Thanks for looking....

Paul, Great subject. I never see images of them in the water so this is special to me. I like the effect you applied and thanks to Dave once again for sharing his technique. I might add a hint of contrast to it if it were mine. Lovely composition!

Absolutely fantastic. I'm glad I had the chance to share. I'm about 50/50 on more contrast. It's just so striking as it is.

This is simply awesome! Love the subject... one of my wishes is to photograph them someday. Wonderful composition with the white bg. Excellent processing.

I created two versions of the above...this is the one I didn't submit first...this image is darker and has more contrast...

Super cool, Paul. I like them both! The original has a neat "work in progress" vibe for me. Dave's method and the details of the reflection really complement each other. Love the OOTB approach!

Hi Paul, I thought the first post was outstanding, but I think the second is even better with the added contrast. My new favorite of yours!

Cute Puffin, and really like the paint by numbers treatment, Paul. Composition works well with clean white BG. Repost is even better!

I like them both for different reasons...but generally prefer the higher contrast when presented with a choice. I think they both would appeal to many people for different reasons.
