As a long term Star Trek fan, I couldn't resist cribbing the title here.

Osprey mating from this Feb. in Florida while helping out with Artie's SW Florida Workshop. Great crew of participants by the way. Happy Campers one and all.

Post: CS5 selective sharpening, slight detail extractor on shadowed areas, small crop from left and top for comp.

In a perfect world, wish I had a bit more nest below to balance the mass of the male, but since this nest was on a light pole, this was the most natural look I could get. I also wish the males head didn't merge with his far wing, but the contrast does provide pretty good separation.

    Advice and comments always appreciated.

    Cheers

Despite the high angle of elevation to the bird and the single Murphy's Law of Nest stick, this one is very excellent. The raised wing rocks as do the two very good head angles. EXP and WHITE detail superb.

    Hi Randy,
I love the title ( it took me a minute or two to get it though...duh). Excellent behavior captured here and I like the HA. I love the talons on her back. The blue in the sky is a nice shade as well. As usual, your exposure is excellent.
    Where was this taken?

    Thanks Artie and Gail:

I appreciate the angle isn't great, but it is a lot better than I have gotten in the past by the Fishery restaurant. There is a new nest on one of the light poles where there changed the road on the big curve, and it is much lower than the old nest on the 40 ft. pole!

    Cheers

I just love the way the whites have turned out here. Superb details and the High Angles doesn't bother me one bit

Hi Randy, both Osprey's in perfect focus and sharp, and well timed to capture the raised wing. Well exposed, and I do like the overall detail on both Osprey's. Im fine with the amount of nest visible.

There's Picard using his charms again...or isn't that supposed to be Kirk?

Glad to see that nest is still in use. Good comp, and I like the raised wing, and the "surprised" look on the female. Too bad about that one stick, but as Artie says that's Murphy's law when photographing nests.
