    Rachel,

A very nice capture of this action, although perhaps a lhigher shutter speed might have helped a little but then again the movement blur might be good I am undecided.

Just a pity that the eye is not a little clearer, but it is still a great "moment"

I like the look of the slower shutter speed in the forelegs and water. Bears head and back nice and sharp. Nicely done. I think that I know the bear's gaze is fixed on the prize, I am not missing seeing the eye much.

Ditto Roberts comment re eye, but you can see it.

Nicely executed Rachel, won't bother commenting on the techs as you know the score and have come on leaps & bounds since this was taken. Exposure nicely handled and that 'pounce' pose.

Roll on September, no pressure, but...

I'm with others on the "in-motion" look with the bear being sharp where it matters.

Nice action pose and focused look on the bear. I really like the water coming off the near paw. Face looks a touch oversharpened compared to the rest of the fur.

Thanks Steve, I think I applied an extra round of selective sharpening to the face since it was slightly softer due to the motion. Maybe it was too much.

    Thanks again,
    Rachel
