Found this nice Male Leopard in a tree with no leaves

But he was asleep, we waited for ages and he eventually got up and posed but never looked directly into the camera, never mind.

As can be seen from the sky it was rather dull. Taken in Kwando concession, Botswana 28th December 2011 (Full Frame)

Ken - A regal pose from the leopard and always nice to see with no distractions. I hope you don't mind a repost. I went further high key with the bg in levels and reducing the cyan and blue. On the leopard itself I reduced the yellows slightly and moved the middle levels slider to the left (1.10). Let me know what you think.

    Rachel,

Thanks for your comments on the OP and your repost.

I must admit that I always like to see a little bit of blue in the sky even at levels as low as they are, and I was not sure about the yellow levels in the Leopard itself and still am

Very early quiet morning here so thought I'd try a repost also, if ok. Greenish tint below mouth taken mostly away by selecting area and color adjust. Ran a Velvia PS action for color, strengthened blue sky, sharpened. May be a bit over worked/cooked?

    Tom,
Thanks for the repost, I might have to agree with your "overcooked" comment, but have to say it is certainly different to the OP. Just goes to show there are many ways to "skin a cat"

    Ken,

I like the look of the cat in Rachel's post but prefer your sky.

Still waiting for someone to reply - "I like OP and Tom's, somewhere in between would be good"

Always interesting to see how different tastes can reflect on an image
With Leopard being my favorite cat, I like the image but just would want a little more detail particularly on the right side of the cat which is a little dull, in my opinion.
Ah...what the heck, this is how I would cook it
Added slight structure and warmth via Viveza 2!

    Shreyas,

Well you certainly have given it some oomph with Viveza, I have it but have never tried it , I will certainly give it a try.
