    These little guys love cactus, and I like being further away, too much experience with that stuff.
    Canon 7D, 500 F4 ISO 400 7.1 1/2000
    I don't consider this on over the top photo but I liked the contrast, still at Bill's elephant head pond.

    Really nice photo Stan. Like the colors, the perch, and the turn from the bird. How they land on that stuff is beyond me.

    Hi Stan,
    This is very nice. I really like the BG and the cactus perch (wish it was a bit smaller without the OOF part on the left of bird)). The pose is really nice with the lookback. Good feather detail.

    Hi,

    Lovely pose, detail on bird and smooth bg. I agree with Gail that the large amount of oof cactus is a bit distracting. I once got caught up in a Cholla bush trying to photograph a Phainopepla - not funny!

    Hi Stan, good DOF on the sparrow, and I like the look back pose. Im with Steve on wondering how they manage not to get spiked by the cacti.
