Wow, super sharp and really pops out.
very nice angle, head turn and just a gorgeous bird!
I would try a version cropped right below the first head reflection and bring it down a
bit in the frame if you have the room.
    Just superb as is though.

You have knocked this one out of the ballpark Frank. Excellent. The IQ is superb and I love the pose and HA. I would like to see more room on top if you have it and agree with taking some off the bottom. I think the BG is nicer than the imperfect reflection so would crop back to the top of the bird's neck (in the reflection)

incredibly beautiful bird Frank and lovely sharp capture. I would love to see it with more above its real head (if you have it) and wouldn't mind Dan's suggested crop below the first head reflection. Lovely!

Lovely capture of a gorgeous bird, Frank. If it were mine, I would crop some from the right and from the bottom where there is almost a natural line from the water. Great job with exposure, pose and nice low angle. I might be tempted to give it just a tad more pop in color.

    Frank:

Lovely bird, sharp, well exposed, good shooting angle.

Lots of cropping options, as mentioned above. The first one that occurred to me was to clone out the lowest part of the reflection that touches the frame edge, up to the natural break between the the lowest reflection and the next one up. This would have the advantage of leaving a bit of separation from the frame edge and the retained reflection. If you went that way, I would leave the top as is, but consider a crop from the right as Mariana mentioned.

    Just lovely.

    Cheers

    Frank:

Here is a very quick take on what I thought. If not for your signature, I would have come up from the bottom just a sliver more.
Not a perfect clone job, but the idea I think comes through. Cropping up along the neck reflection would also work well, except the reflection that remained would go all the way to the frame edge, which isn't my favorite.

    Cheers

    Frank:

Such a cool picture, I had to try one more crop. Came well up along the neck reflection, but to reduce the impact of the reflection hitting the frame edge, did a gentle burning of the lower edge of the reflection near the frame edge to help keep your eye from being pulled out of the frame, by the bright neck reflection.

    Great fun!

    Cheers

Wow, thank you for your tips.

@ Randy, the last cut I like very well.

    Here my new version.
Something more color, the great crested grebe further to the right and more cut.

I like then all!! I think the last image is really excellent. It sounds a little obvious but this crop focuses all attention on this beautiful bird.

Hi Frank, excellent low angle, and you have captured a great pose. Before reading any of the comments above, I scrolled the image up and down to 'create' my own comp, as I didnt feel the reflection was clear enough to keep. Randy's final comp was exactly what I had in mind. Your final repost with the adjusted comp and colours takes it up another notch.
