This image of Buckingham Fountain, in Chicago's Grant Park, was taken on our last trip home. It shows the fountain and the Chicago skyline in the background.

Modification for B&W in CS4 & Topaz included; Topaz DeNoise 5, Selective Colors, Accented Edges, Curves, Topaz Lens Effects, Topaz B&W and other normal PS image adjustments.

    Enjoy!

Denise, hope you can read it. If not, try highlighting the text that should make it readable.

Neat image, Mark. I like the comp, skyline and B&W effect. Might be a fun one to try the Topaz Star filter on.

Hi Mark, a very nice fountain...Steve's idea for the star filter might be really fun to try.

I really like this Mark. The conversion to b&w works very well. Only suggestion would be that I wish the object in the LLC wasn't quite so tight to that side of the frame...another little bit of space there might have been nice.

Beautiful composition, Mark. I like your conversion... nice tonal contrast. TFS.

Thanks all for viewing and comments. Appreciate it.

Jules, I was unable to get more on that side. I wanted to include the feature, but shooting this fountain is like shooting the Vietnam wall in DC. People everywhere, so to get a wider shot, I would have had to move back into the crowd around me. I was lucky that I was able to time the exposure so no one was on the other side, but that is rare. I also wanted to space the buildings in the BG proportionally. Sorry, but I couldn't have everything. I tired!
