I have been enjoying the bounty of SW Florida. I thought I would start with a Roseate Spoonbill post. I have a million or more from one day out with James at Alafia Banks. The persistent fog pretty much killed the morning but the evening shoot was a dream. Cptn. Shadle really knows how to create terrific opportunities. This shot is about a 40% crop - I left room for the bird to fly in to. All C&C welcome and appreciated.

Nice landing shot, you gave it enough room on the bottom. Sweet light.

Gorgeous image. Great light, dynamic pose, excellent detail, and love how the bird's color make it pop from the background.

So glad you to hear you had a great afternoon, Dan. Love the pose you captured here. If it were mine, I think I would take just a tad off of the top and left to move it to the left just a little and give it more of a feeling of falling. Looking forward to more.

Excellent flight shot, Dan. Love the muktilayer background.
I hope you had your waders on.
The water must have been cold this time of the year even in Florida.

Thanks Karl - stood in the water for total of 6 hours. But it was actually fairly warm - 78 degrees I think James said. Yes, waders were on!
