    The pose, sharpness, and eye contact is really good. The OOF stick in the FG and the stick behind the birds head is a distraction though.

    Hi Nicolas, Robert nailed the critique. Using Robert's Quick Masking techniques (APTATS) would enable to you to eliminate the two really distracting branches (but it would take a bit of practice) if that fits with your personal ethics. Robert could do it in about two minutes...

    Very nice pose and head angle. There is plenty of detail in the reds, which is not always easy with these birds! Good framing also. The busy background is not ideal, but agree that APTATS techniques would improve this image.
