Another Bald eagle at Sheffield Mills, Nova Scotia in early Feb.

    D7000, 300 f/4 AF-S + 1.7TC. Hand-held.

1/2000, f/6.7, ISO 1400 (I bumped up the ISO to get a fast hand-held shutter speed).

Cropped, color adjustments, levels, Noise Ninja.

    Hi Richard,
This is really nice. I like the snowflakes and the landing pose. Nice and sharp. Great under wing detail.I would either burn or clone the tree coming out of his head but that is a minor nit. One of your best shots,

What a wonderful landing pose and the snow just sets this one apart. Love all the details and highlights you were able to get in those wing and chest feathers, and I like the position of the tail as well.

    Hi Richard!

Have we met there early Feb? I was there on the first and second. Just curious about the % of your crop here.

    Nice landing pose.

    Hi Yves,

I live just up the road from Sheffield Mills, and I was at the eagle watch on and off most of the 1st w/e in Feb. So we might well have met. Crop was about 1/3.
