    Blakiston's Fish Owl, Japan

The Blakiston's Fish Owl is endangered due to the widespread loss of riverine forest, increasing development along rivers and dam construction. The current population in Japan is approximately 100-150 birds (20 breeding pairs and unpaired individuals),

Truly a stunning potrait, and I love the way he is glaring at you!!! Your PP is so good that it almost looks as though I am looking at the actual owl. The details are amazing, and the colors really pop against the snow BG.

Superb IQ on the owl. I love the B&W look to the rest of the image.
