Super wing spread and nice green color on the wing. Looks like he is performing a serious balancing act.

Alan, you have produced yet another killer image, and it's unique. May we assume that you called him to get him to display/react like this? I have never seen anything like it, and it truly rocks! He looks like a dancer!

That's just off-the-chart good. Another humbling reminder of what really great bird photography is.

Alan, I am desperate than any one on the forum to know the technique.
I have just posted Common Teal image in a very similar setting, standing on a small rock in water and then realized this awesome image from you. It posed for me for almost 30 min but never did any display of the kind. Would have used your technique if have posted this image a week ago :-)

Here is the link to my thread http://www.birdphotographers.net/for...read.php/95850.

Sorry for the cross linking but couldn't resist.

You guys grack me up :-) I wish I had that kind of control, but I don't. I did nothing, he's just doing a wing flap, which all Ducks do, many times a day.

I was just headed back to this thread and was going to post that the great likelihood was that Alan did nothing here but push the shutter button. But he beat me to the punch.
