    Default Muscovy Duck Portrait

    Something different.
This obvious escapee domestic duck was at my local bird pond today amongst the Buffleheads, Widgeons, Scaups, etc.
I thought it was really cool.
The BG is a patch of Red Osier Dogwood.

Excellent portrait, Dan.If you don't mind cloning you might want to clone out the blade of grass from the beak.
    Otherwise it is perfect IMO.

A beautifully done close up, but the grass distracts.

    Dan,
The exposure, the sharpness, the subject and the background all killer.
The grassy looking stuff on the birds bill, not so much.
Making a Muscovy look this good is no easy task. Congratulations.

Dan, I have to ditto Alan and James, although I must admit that I didn't even notice the grass until they pointed it out. Terrific details you achieved here and love that dogwood BG.

Nice portrait, very well done. The water at the tip of the beak is a really nice touch.

She cleaned up a bit before this photo.
I thought about removing the grass, but it is a Muscovy, so I didn't mind and I am not that good
At doing that PP stuff anyway.
Thanks for the comments, I thought she was pretty in an odd way.

Wonderful close up shot. Exposed very well, feather detail is superb, love the background, and great comp. Agree on the grass, but still a great shot.
    Well done.

Nice image Dan! I like the IQ, details, composition and BG. I find the grass distracting as well but still a beauty as presented.
