    Default Starling in Light

HI guys, Here is a starling I shot a few days ago. These were first satisfactory shots (by my standards) for me. What do you all think? 7D, 100-400 @ 400, 5.6. Cropped for comp. sharpening by action, some work on the eye to make it stand out from the dark body- does it look over cooked?

Nice low angle and pose. The eye looks fine to me.

Amol, you did well getting all those gorgeous colors on this bird. You have a nice low angle and composition. Glad you were able to get so close to him.

Thank you Marina,This was the closest I ever got without the bird happily flying away after I focussed.....:). I would have liked a little more proximity than this...may be next time...

Hey, I've had a couple hundred of them living in the trees beside my house for the past 9 years and have yet to get anything as good as this. Nice job showing off this decorative, iridescent, pain-in-the-neck bird. I'm envious.

hahahah, Ron, I have seen photogs swearing at these birds but 'pain in the neck' is a first one that cracked me up. Thats so true... I too begin to think they are very UGLY when dont get any decent shots...
