We have a lone juvenile ( 1 st winter ) King Eider hanging around here. I was very surprised at how tame he is and coming very close at time. The lighting was not the best and I tried my best to handhold as low as possible without getting wet. After all I was dressed for work.

Carmello I saw this bird in Hamilton (or one just like it) last week but nowhere near this close. Lovely image, that I'd certainly like to have in my files...very well done
I'd certainly be taking advantage of that opportunity too even if that meant going in work clothes! Nice intimate view, well exposed, and nice details. I'd consider removing or toning down the longer two bright lines in front of the bill as well as the one touching the tail. I would also do some CCW rotation. Love the orange hues in the water that are the same as the bill!
Beauty shot, Carmelo. Love the low angle. We also have one in Burlington, it is fairly cooperative. I was shooting it the other day, but the water was very choppy.
