    This little bird gave us a lot of fun watching it perching on the wing mirror of my Prado for what seemed hours occasionaly admiring himself in the mirror.

    I waited for it to get into a more natural position, and unfortunately this was the best the two of us could come up with.

    Taken outside Chalet H in Khama Rhino Sanctuary, Botswana, 22nd December 2011.

    Ken,
    This is a very nice capture.
    I find woodpeckers tough to get in a good pose. Like you, I would like to have seen a bit more of the bird's body.
    I do like the angle of his head and the look of his eye.
    The only thing I see that could be improved beyond the pose is the foreground bark is distractingly bright.

    Hi Ken, Good angled head turn, and I like the sharp detail and colours on the head. I feel the placement and comp work well, and what we can see of the BG is great.
