    Hi Matt, nice capture of the regal cat. I would crop from the top to eliminate the patches of sky and from the right to eliminate the vertical fence post, then lighten the entire image just a bit - maybe with a curves or levels adjustment to boost the mid-tones. If not that, then I would definitely suggest lightening the eyes a bit. Love the classic pose and gaze, very nice.

    Matt,

    Good comments from Kerry and I would crop off almost an inch of foreground. Take a sheet of paper and view the image with different crops, the negative space pulls the eye off the subject. With the Nikon kit you might consider a higher ISO to gain more shutter speed and capture more subject detail. Thanks for posting this is a unique picture and I like it.

    Hi Matt - nice crouching pose. Good suggestions by Kerry and Jeff above. I think one of the things that is drawing the eye away from the cheetah is the very lush grass, maybe drop the saturation of the greens a bit.
