You've done a wonderful job bringing out the details and colors on this bird considering your working environment. Good use of flash and I like the way he has turned around and giving you a good HA. If you are not opposed, I might try lightening up the black area just beneath the bird.

Thanks Marina !!! Yes!! Indeed that dark area needs lightening. I am holed up for 3 days expecting to get images of Pink-eared Ducks at Gum Swamp...it is pouring rain ... should have attacked that dark area as I was processing last night so will do now as I can't see me getting images given the forecast !!!! Three days of processing !!!

Very nice shot. Excellent flash work, great pose with a great head angle, very nice perch, and the repost is much better.
    Well done.

Very nicely done on the repost, and I like the increase in size. That's a gorgeous bird, well captured. Love the sharpness, HA, and BG. Colors (both bird and BG) are fabulous. Thanks for sharing.

Excellent use of flash, I like the repost colours, not sure how much the image is cropped but I would consider making the bird a tad smaller in the frame. I can appreciate you have spent time and effort in obtaining this image and it has paid off.

Marina nailed the critique and your rework is superb. Pretty little bird, well photographed by you. Sorry about the weather!
