    They are in breeding condition so facial colours are strong. Took this the other week at sundown - one of the few days we have had sun this summer.

    1D MK 4, 500mm + 1.4ext, 1/1250 @ 6.3, ISO 500, manual mode with tripod.

    Very well done on this vertical. The pose, colors, low angle, HA with that terrific crown all work so well here.

    Love the low, head-on angle, Tom! Great pose and details. Don't think I've seen a shot like this of a cormorant. Nice work!

    Love the low angle, and great pose, I would consider placing the bird a tad lower in the frame.
