    Default Glaucous Gull in flight

Well, after a lengthy absence from these forums I've decided to try and become more active again.
I've been practising flight shots of the gulls by the local harbour and here's one of my recent shots.
    Looking forward to your critiques.

    Canon EOS 7D
    1/1250 sec
    f/5.6
    400 mm
    ISO 800

Slight crop, adjusted highlights and boosted the contrast somewhat in Lightroom.

Very nice shot of this huge gull, Reynir! It is a little tight in the frame but I like the sharpness, HA and the fact that it is not flying away from you. You caught it just as it was about to pass into the "flying away" state!

Hi Reynir, nice catch of a good-looking gull. Detail and color look good. I would suggest some NR on the background to make the image cleaner. Nice work on the flight capture.

I really like this image, good comments above - more room and a round of NR would make it stronger.

A very nice BIF photo, sharp, nice exposure, a very nice wing position for gulls,
I would be very happy with this.

    Thanks everyone.
I'm very happy with this shot and the processing worked out well.
I did do some NR in Lightroom, but I agree it could use a bit more on the background.
The 7D is a great camera but it does have issues with higher ISO.
