Now that this is up on my screen I see I should have lightened the bird's left side of face.

I lightened the right eye in the repost. Sorry about not screening my OP better before posting

An impressive image Gail! Sharp with lovely light, and colours. The stare makes this image for me.

Nice pose with a head turn towards us. The left eye looks funny but it is beyond your control.

I like the even lighting on the underwings and his intense stare.

Hi Gail, perfect timing to capture the direct eye contact, and what a great flight pose. Overall, well exposed, especially the underwings, sharp, and love the hint of clouds in the BG. Well captured.

Great shot Gail. Good underwing detail even at 2pm in the afternoon. I would give him a bit more space below and left if you have.

Gail, looks very majestic. underwing details are quite stunning. If mine, I'd have more room on the left...it might be personal preference.

    About perfect!
One of the best Eagle photos I have seen here.
I know you want a critique, but I don't have one.

Very nice, Gail. Pose, exposure, stare, bg - it's all there.
    1/3200, f8, iso 400 - must've had lots of good light.
