Saturday morning started out slow at the Ft. Desoto park. The lagoon side was dead so we decided to head to the North part of the beach.
Saw this Great Egret fishing and then the Snowy Egret, Little Blue and Tri-colored Heron all showed up and were fishing in front of us. It was a cloudy day but caught this egret when the sun was out for a brief moment.

    Troy,
North Beach is an often overlooked treasure.
The image is well exposed and sharp.
Compositionally, it's well balanced and the low perspective makes the image much more personal.
I prefer the room you have at the top, however the dark band at the top makes the image look out of square. Consider cropping it out and then take a look.
I find the color of the background to be very complementary of the foreground.

What the heck - great shot (I did list the reasons it's a great shot IMO).

Lovely image, Troy. Nice shooting angle and light. I kinda feel a vignetting effect applied.

Good perspective and low angle. The darker bottom and top frame the image nicely.

Great point-of-view, and I like the various bits of vegetation poking out of the water. Great light that poked up briefly for you! I actually like the dark band above but feel it would be better if the faint pale area above it in URC was filled-in (that is what may contribute to the out of square feel)

Thank you all. Mark, just applied the S curve. No vignetting applied.
