    Default Mallard Incomming

    The geese would not cooperate and fly towards me but the mallards would come into the decoys nicely. Most of my waterfowl opportunities are either flying by or flying away. I need to learn about post adjustments and any recommendations on references would be appreciated.

    Hi Steve, good job getting the mallard coming to you - often the biggest challenge with any bird! The image could use some sharpening and noise reduction for the background. Duck seems dark, might try to lighten it up a bit. As for post processing help, have you checked out the books by Arthur Morris? His "Digital Basics" is a good starting point for a digital workflow and his "Art of Bird Photography" I and II book and CD contain a wealth of knowledge on the other aspects of bird photography as well.
