    Probably should have opted for a little higher f-stop here, I was so close (maybe 12 feet or so) the dof is too narrow.

    Hi Joel, lovely exposure and color in this one. Given the tripod support and the bird angling away from the camera, I probably would have opted for a smaller aperture to get a bit more DOF.

    Joel,

    I like the open aperture this type of selective focus brings out fine detail and draws the eye in to the subject. I like the unique DoF and it is critically sharp in this case I might reduce the perch size to compliment the DoF.

    I also like the composition the angled perch is fine with me some times it can unbalance the frame, let's see what others say.
