    Default Crested Serpent Eagle in Golden Light- Tadoba

    My favorite Eagle in golden Evening light. right out of my window in Tadoba National Park, Central India.

    Rebel XTi, 50-500, f6.3, ISO 400, cropped for composition about 20-30%. Sharpened using action provided here.

    beautiful raptor, nice BG and eye contact. the IQ is not great however, head, talons and the tail look hazy

    Thanks Arash,

    What do you mean by hazy? soft?

    The action Probably didnt include the talons while sharpening. The mud on them didnt help either. The tail looks ok on my screen. But I will try to get back some detail if I can in the repost soon.

    Very beautiful light indeed. I would prefer to see this as a vertical crop. BG is great as well. I would do another round of sharpening on the foot but am happy with the head and tail,

    I love the comp, the light and the bg, Amol.
    I'd try reducing the highlights on the perch and the talon to give it a bit more definition.
    Eye contact is just great.

    Hi Amol, lovely light and warm colours in this, and I like the pose. I do like that BG, but a vertical would be the best option here, as Gail mentioned.

    Thanks Sidharth and Stuart, I too like the landscape comp but I am biased because I remember the beautiful setting in which this bird was and I like to visualize the whole scene the way I saw it. So I never gave a thought to the vertical comp. Here it is. Pl tellme which one you all like.
