I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing with BPN members Dave and Eileen Woeller as well as friend and photog Don Shroder and his lovely wife Jeanne. We arrived at the pier at appro. 5:20am. I quickly realized I had forgot my tripod plate... I still managed a few images hand held.

Nice colors and well composed. I like it! What did you do in post with it? It looks like a little texture?

    Thanks Maureen and Matt.
Matt, I should have mentioned I added a texture overlay and a slight rotation

Denise, great looking pier! I like the slight texture effect and the horizontal lines of the water contrasting with the vertical lines of the pier.

The colors are beautiful and I love the simplicity of the dark pier against the light water and sky. The processing and texture are perfect for the image!

Sweet image Denise! World-class sunset and pier (even if extinct) image. Love the colors, composition drawing the eye into and out of the frame, and texture. Really nice.

Lovely composition, Denise. Great colors of the sunset and the pier really stands out drawing the eye all the way. Excellent use of texture and processing.

What a great morning (except for the tripod plate) we all had. This pier never disapoints. Love the composition and contrast between light and dark. A little more reflection at the bottom would have made this killer. Thanks again from Eileen and I.

Dramatic composition! I love old piers... Definitely dawn. A different look than sunset.

Hi Denise, late to the party, but I love this pier. I remember the images you posted on your blog and they were all beautiful comps. I wish there were old piers like this around my home. I wonder how this pier would look as a stitched panoramic image as well.

Andrew, I will be going back to re-shoot this (with my tripod) and can try to do a pano.
