Plenty of rain today so I was playing around with a Lightpad that I just bought. I was experimenting with focus stacking so I did that first, then I used Fractalius Sketch and used a luminosity blend on one image and then a normal blending mode on a duplicate image and merged the two. I'm not sure if I like this one as well as the original image with the luminosity blend but it has more color.
Thanks for looking, comments and suggestions appreciated

Interesting effect, Cheryl. Looks like a fun way to spend a rainy day! The upper left shell looks to me like the entrance to a tunnel, where does it lead? I like that it makes me wonder!

Cheryl, I like this a lot. The composition and treatment work really well together. The textures are very nice too. Cheryl, will the lightpad show transparencies?

    Cheryl,

Greetings. Very cool. The patterns, even focus & color are eye catching. I'm just not a fan of the fractalius look, so would prefer the straighter look of the right bottom shell in the middle shell.

Do like it as is, though. Good show!

    Cheers,

    -Michael-

Denise, thanks. I'm sure it can be used for viewing transparencies. I bought an Artograph about 17x22" I think.

The colors and textures are really eye-catching! I like the processing and the arrangement of the shells. Very impressive!

I think this is a very strong image, and would love to see the original to compare it with. What software did you use for the focus stacking?

Mitch, it was my first attempt at focus stacking and I just used CS5. I had spoken to a friend of mine in the Photography Club that I'm a member of and he didn't think Helicon focus was worth the money. I really didn't know what I was doing but CS5 was a piece of cake and I thought it did a decent job.

Paul, we're in a drought here so the rain was a welcome sight (except I found out the roof on my screen porch leaks).
