Yes an oldie, but Sid's post rekindled my love of these animals and thought it would be worth posting this one. Great to think you can be 5000 miles away and access stuff, technology is great.

Taken from onboard the deck of the ice breaker. For those that have seen this image in print, it has been slightly revised from that.

I agree with Sid here Steve. I also like the layered BG of ice/water/ice/water. Great techs.

Sid's post makes little sense now that my post has been deleted.

Could somebody please explain who deleted it and why this was done?

I sent you a PM, but since you asked.

    Ken,

Your post of an image on Steve K's polar bear thread at http://www.birdphotographers.net/for...looking-at-who was removed due to violation of Guideline No. 19. Only one image per post.

Only exception to this are reposts of the same image for educational purposes.

You violated rule #19 and the image you posted was not a critique, therefore off topic. Deleted under rule #10.

    Robert and James,

Thank you for your explanation, if I could I would have posted a link to my OP from 2009, but it is no longer on the site. I thought it may have been interesting to all to see the remarkable similarity in spite of the entirely different metod of obtaining the image.

    Cheers

    Ken

Lovely image Steve i like the upright pose and the eye contact a long with the water droplets, just a question rather than a crit having never shot in the snow before, is the image not slightly under exposed or possibly need a little more brightness?

    Happy Polar Bear Day

Taking a break from the slopes Steve?

I totally agree with Sid and Harshad about the water dripping from the paws, just awesome. I love how the Bear is standing up to check you out and the guy behind is nice and sharp as well.

    Thanks guys.

Yep Jamie, another Bluebird day up here. Hope the PS workshop helped, albeit it brief. PM me if you have anymore questions, as there will be a homework test in a couple of weeks time, LOL.

See you and the others soon.

What a great pose you got and I like how the legs line up between the two. Also like the layered water/ice BG.

I find myself agreeing with this - maybe just a slight boost?
