This was taken during the final launch of the space shuttle Discovery, one year ago today, as the shuttle cleared the gantry area. The image was shot from the road, by the Cape Canaveral cruise line terminals, about 15 miles from the launch pads. Modification in CS4 and Topaz included; Selective Color, Accent Edges, Dry Brush, 3D Spherical Panorama, and other normal PS image adjustments. The apparent clutter in the sky is from the heat waves of the launch, as well as the distance the image was shot from. Enjoy!
Very cool abstract, Mark. Love the energy and the fact that we are not looking at yet another fireball image of the shuttle. Great vision and processing!
I liked the 3D feature and have a few more posts in the near future with it. I was also surprised at the colors, as they grew naturally during the processing of it. Kind of patriotic!
