    1D Mark IV, Canon 800 f5.6, 1/2500, f7.1, iso 800, tripod, fluid head, in chest deep water

    From a few hours ago. The local pair near my place is starting their 5th attempt to nest this season. Summer is nearly over so I am not very optimistic as to their chances. Will have to wait and see.

    Hi Ofer,

    Really like the dark surrounding in this shot and the way you have managed to control th elight patch on the cheeck. Wonderful low POV and hope to see some more (perhaps with chicks) in the near future!

    Gorgeous light, low angle, colors and setting. Love it.
    A very slight head turn would be nice - although this works too.

    What a stunning capture. I wish it were mine. Love the colors against that background and the details are awesome. I love that small piece of his tail feather sticking out. It's so dainty. I hope they are successful in their efforts to breed.
