    Default Small Bug, Large World

    Attached Images Attached Images

Nikon D700, 300mm f2.8, 1.4tc, tripod. 1/320, f6.3, iso800. Cropped 50%, set wb to 9100 in acr. USM in cs3. Last spring I was in a swamp along a small creek hoping deer would come through. This little fly like thing landed on this leaf overhanging the creek. On the computer this image did not amount to much but when I cranked the wb up I liked the affect. I tried many different crops and kept coming back to this. The bg is the creek.

Jack, I love this! The background color is lovely. I think that you could tighten up the composition just a little if you wanted to. I might evict the tiny black spot on the lower leaf if it were mine. Nice looking image.

Great perspective image, Jack. Love the little guy in a big big world.

Excellent title for this image. The soft colors and the large blurred leaves provide a moody contrasting effect for that tiny detailed silhouetted fly. Very nicely created.

I really like the colours and the soft feeling of this image. Would agree on getting rid of the black dot. Very appealing.
