These 2 cheetah cubs were hanging around a waterhole in the Kalahari early one morning. The population in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park is really blossoming and it is probably next to the Mara/Serengeti the premier place for viewing and photographing these speedsters.

I am off to the Kgalagadi again this weekend for 2 weeks (can't get enough of the place! ). Keep on posting some great images and stay safe!

    Techs:
    Nikon D3s with Nikkor 500mm f4 VR-II + 1.4xTC @ 700mm
    f8.0 @ 1/1000 SS @ ISO-640
    Pretty much full frame

Lovely golden light and stalking pose here Morkel, I also like the drinking BG cheetah and partial reflection, did you manage a close up of him by any chance?
Have been to the Kalahari twice, but never that far south, I do have the Kgalagadi on my radar.

    Morkel,

You are far luckier than me, I saw 3 hidden Cheetah in Kgalagadi in 8 days, mind you almost no Lion either, jusy goes to show how luck is so relevant in Wildlife photography (you should have been here yesterday)

Great capture, whilst it looks like it needs a bit more sharpening, they are so fluffy I doubt it

Hi Morkel, like the low POV, but would take out the 'grey blob' top RHC.

Looks good even from 6000 miles away.

    Thanks folks.
Ken - it's a park that can be as frustrating as it can be rewarding...which is why it keeps drawing me back!

It's a laughing dove...might burn it a bit more, but no cloning as usual
    Enjoy the cold!

Morkel - nice light and the comp works really well. I agree about the dove (my guess was a guinea hen). Enjoy your trip!

Great pose captured in the cheetah closest to you, the way the cats fur flows backward adds a lot.
Enjoy your time there now and look forward to what you capture this time!
    cheers

The main subject looks great, I am always on the fence about OOF birds or animals in the scene.
Not sure about this one, I would have preferred just the main subject.
