    This is from last April at local lake. Came back a few times, but never did see little ones. Cropped some off top & bottom, CS5, ACR, used blur and cloning to clean up BG, touched up eye, NR

    I like the behavior shown here. You dealt with the BG well. I think I would prefer this as a horizontal with room on the left but still very nice as presented.

    Good shot of this little beauty. BG looks ok. I have never been able to find a hummer nest.

    I would also go for a wider crop horizontal, with less space on top and below and more behind the bird.

    Hi Brendan, this is the first hummer Ive seen on this site actually perched. All the others have been hovering over flowers. I agree with Gail on having a horizontal, but can see your train of thought with a vertical to probably eliminate the busy BG.
