    Jim:

A big welcome to BPN! You will find it a great place to learn and grow as a nature photographer.

It must be a day for spoonies and other pink birds!

Your bird is sharp and well exposed. Full down wing position is good.

He was slightly past your position, or angling away from you. Generally the birds are more engaging if you catch them angling towards you.

For flying birds, I generally like to give them a little room to fly into. It would be easy to add canvas to this one on the left.

The sky looks slightly too saturated, certainly possible, but looks a bit unnatural.

Please be sure to include your camera/lens information, as well as any post processing that you do.

Be sure to post your flamingos in 48 hours.

    Cheers

    Randy

    Welcome abord, Jim.
Exposure looks great and I love the sharpness
Great points by Randy about the saturation of the sky and the bird angle/position.
Very nice first post, and looking forward to more.
