    A female Resplendent Quetzal, possibly even more beautiful than the male, poses within a few metres She is truly a jewel of the forest and I hope you enjoy the photograph as much as I enjoyed being with her. Some wont like the complexity of the background; I have decided to leave things alone where she belongs, so this image is as taken apart from blurring/light blur to background, and NR and SS 7D 100-400 at 285 f 5.6 ISO 800 Ev 0 Cheers

    Very pretty female, I also agree with you about leaving the cluttered BG as is since it represents part of the bird habitat. I guess this one was taken on the way down to San Gerardo.

    Hi Richard,
    I am afraid that the BG is just too cluttered for me. The bird gets lost in all that mess. The head looks a bit soft to me as well. Sorry for being so negative...
