    Default Grizzly feeding

Taken towards the later part of the day, just on an estuary. Unfortunately wherever there are Grizzly bears feeding you will get Gulls picking on any freebies. Could not go lower sadly, are there was debris below.

Small part of a sand bar removed at the foot of the image.

Steve - nice light and detail. Open mouth adds to the image. Looks like a fairly big bear. Gulls don't bother me.

I love the bear, but would prefer not to have the gulls but not a deal breaker. I love the blue of the water and the detail and light on the bear's face.

I like the actions of the bear. It seems like his hair in front is slightly over sharpened. The gull bug me soemwhat, but you have to take them as they come.
Thanks for looking at my Photos

    Hi Steve,
Nice colors and details. it goes without saying that it would have been a super image if the gulls were not there in the BG

Shame about the BG, but understand why it is, love the lighting and detail on the coat. Looks like a heap of flies around also.

Nicely lit, detailed, and colored photo Steve. Gulls are a non issue for me as they give a sense of the level of activity in the area during this time.

Gulls mentioned. Love the cold blue waters and the sideways stare. I thought the dots was dust on the sensor until I read someone say flies. Looks like they could carry you away! We have sand fleas, mosquitoes, no see um's and deer flies here in Maine! Love the share.

Hi Grady, they were in 'biblical' proportions . BTW I was in Ogunquit a few year back, loved Maine.

Light and detail in the coat are spot on.

Although a head on shot, I love the side profile created from the turn of head. It allows you to better portray the defining facial features.

The background isn't the greatest, though not a deal breaker,I would look to crop some from the top, though it is the perfect space for cover title :)

Nice, crisp image! Love the details, even the visible mighty blood suckers of the Tundra
