    Taken at Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary, near Mysore, India
    Canon 30D, 70-200/f2.8 L + 1.4x TC, no flash, HH
    f5, 1/1000, ISO 100
    Vertical crop out of horizontal, removed a small branch below to left.
    Adobe ACR
    CS4 - curves to lighten up darker areas of the wing, lightened the eye using the dodge tool. slightly darkened the bright spots on the legs.

    Ravi, nice pose of the stork. I presume this was taken mid-day as the light seems to be harsh.

    Brings back memories of my visit to this place a few years ago. Thanks for sharing.

    Thanks for your comments. Yes. It was mid-morning around 10 when I took this picture from a boat. A good flash would have made the light even. It is a great place to photograph birds, but they don't open early enough to catch the good light.

    Hi Ravi - cool looking bird and great pose. Too bad about the shadow, but still a very nice image.
