This pretty bird is endemic to Australia. Unfortunately it is an endangered species with only a few hundreds breeding pairs left in the wild. Got this a few days ago about four hours drive south of Sydney.

Wow a Hooded plover? Never seen one but he is very pretty Ofer. Great low angle and nice dof. The raised foot and cool eye and red bill are topping it off nicely.

Hi Ofer, congrats on your milestone. Good low angle of capture, as well as the walking angle of the plover. You have exposed this spot on, and I really like the softer colours of the BG.

Beautiful walking pose, and you gotta love that red eyering! Beautiful hues to the beach and water. I'm not crazy about the sand extending above the water line behind the bird (I do realize it is caused by the curvature of the wavelet comin in).

    Congrats on 3000!!

Congrats on 3,000 posts Ofer! Very nice low angle, with great eye contact, sharpness, and exposure. The raised foot adds a little something to the frame. I could see a slight crop off the bottom and left of the frame.

Glad to see you posting. I was missing your images as well as your input. This is one lovely species and I think you handled it well. Unfortunately I cannot see it too well from my phone so I Will not comment any further.
