    Default Puku chase finale.

A minute or two had passed after we managed to get our vehicle round the point to find that (what we can only assume)
the puku had run head long into the MGM pride male trio coming the other way and straight into the clutches of the alpha (collared ) male Goldwyn sealing it's fate.
Used Nik Viveza 2 to deal with the harsh water/sunset reflection and shadow detail boost on both lion & puku, trying to balance detail whilst keeping noise on both to a minimum was tricky.
Here's where fill flash would've most likely been best, but in the heat of battle didn't want to waste time scrambling round in my bag to find it.

    C & C most welcome

    Cheers

Marc - this is a great series and love this pause in the action. Very effective with the lion's claw visible. Certainly feel that we know what is coming. Might reduce blues a tad on the lion.

Thanks for taking us along on this incredible sighting and action,
    Rachel

    Marc,

Very nice poses by both animals here.

I agree with Rachel on trying to reduce the blues a little, I had a little play in Color Efex, probably too warm now, what do you think?

Perhaps just a touch, but an improvement on my OP, thanks Ken.

Nice moment here Marc, the paw on the back makes it for me. IQ has held up quite well given your adjustments and the shooting conditions.
I also think Ken's repost is an improvement, and agree that the ideal version is perhaps somewhere between the 2...

Hi Marc, Rachels observations are going in the right direction, would certainly pull back the Blue, Cyan overall, reduce the saturation of the greens (perhaps?), then make some adjustments based on that and the coolness of early morning. Might consider toning down the horizon line, as it is quite dominate, especially close to the lions head.

The frame is a concluding end to the finale.
