    Default Long-billed Corella

    Attached Images Attached Images

    1d MK 4, 500mm + 1.4EXT, 1/1000 @ 5.6, 500 ISO. Manual Mode.

Caught these guys at sun down digging up the grass at a local park.

While not a super high ISO I did follow some of Arash's suggestions as laid out in his high iso processing guide - converted from RAW in the canon software, isolated the bird on its own layer and ran a small amount of nr on background, then smart sharpened the bird only in PS.

    Thanks Tom

    Tom:

Excellent shooting angle giving you very soft BG, well exposed with excellent detail in the whites. Colorful guy. Wish his head was a sliver more our way.

    Cheers

Randy took the words right out of my "mouth". Like the BG a lot. I wish I could see his feet,
